I write fiction and other things. My work can be read in journals such as The South Carolina Review, Saranac Review, Cosmonauts Avenue, The Southeast Review, Literary Orphans, Flow, and elsewhere. I was nominated for a Best of the Net award in 2017 by Breakwater Review and have twice been recognized by Glimmer Train‘s New Writers Contest. I have written about pop culture and media for various venues—such as Lit Hub, Uppercut, and First Person Scholar—across the internet and in print. Some of it is linked on this website! In addition, I have worked in higher education at Florida State University, Utah Valley University, and Austin Community College.
